After 11 years teaching in public schools and 17 years homeschooling, Brenda is down to only one student, having graduated her older children in 2018 and 2023. While still in the thick of homeschooling, she has a desire to help those who are just getting started with homeschooling and encourage all educators.

In 2022, Brenda realized her dream of becoming a published author with her first children's book Cassie, Who Is Sometimes Sassy.  Brenda resumed her role as author in 2024, this time with a book of poetry designed to encourage homeschool parents.
